"Sometimes we live our lives like puzzle pieces turned upside down - only showing the world our gray sides. Then along comes life, and it starts flipping them over, showing to us and the world more than just the outline of who we are - it shows us the colors. If we can start to turn more over and put them together, we can see the picture of who we really are emerge."

I basically started this blog as a way to show my true colors and opinions on things, or to just let lose and have fun with it (so please forgive me if certain posts seem a little ridiculous!). My school has a chapter of Her Campus, an online magazine for college women, which started writing for when I transferred to Kent State. I also contributed several essays to TeenInk (click here for the link).  But I'd also love to encourage other young aspiring writers like myself to do the same. Blogs are a great way to practice your own writing style, and to hear feedback from other bloggers. Your own blog can be about a specific topic, or it can be like mine, where you just write about whatever is on your heart.

I'm from a sleepy little town that sits between Akron and Cleveland, Ohio. I'm an English major at Kent State University. I transferred from Cuyahoga Community College where I completed my prerequisites. After that, I have a couple different aspirations that I'd like to accomplish, but I would first and foremost love to get a job as either an editor or editorial assistant somewhere in the area (note the post including my bucket list, Forever Young), but I suppose I'll have to take the next few years by storm and see what new adventures life has to offer!.

If anyone has any comments, questions, suggestions for either my own posts or for guest posts, please do feel free to shoot me an e-mail!
