"If I Were the Devil" by Paul Harvey

After dinner tonight, my parents, my oldest and youngest brothers (I also have 2 other brothers who were both working late) and I were sitting around the dinner table talking when my dad asked me to go grab his laptop from the desk in his office upstairs. Upon bringing it down for him, he asked my older brother and I if we'd ever heard Paul Harvey's "If I Were the Devil" speech. Mind you, my brother and I are both vaguely familiar with Harvey, but neither of us had heard this speech. So my dad looked it up on his laptop and played it for us. As I was listening to the cryptic words of Harvey, I literally got chills down my spine, because I realized just how closely this describes our present society. What really continues to blow my mind is that he said this in 1965 ... a good 47 years go! It really makes you think of what a downward spiral our society has taken recently.
